Calcium "The Knitter"

Calcium “The Knitter”

Calcium is the leading element in promoting healing or knitting anywhere it is necessary in the body. Calcium is more important to healing than any other element. Calcium is needed in every organ of the body, even the brain.  It is one of the greatest elements to “ground” highstung individuals and those that have a lack of will. The tone physically, mentally and spiritually is dependent upon the calcium in the body. Calcium is the first element to go out of balance when the diet is inadequate, opening the door to a host of diseases and degenerative conditions.

Dr. Bernard Jensen writes in ‘The Chemistry of Man’ “Calcium, I am certain, is one of the most important of the major biochemical elements needed in human nutrition.” A calcium deficiency is generally associated with blood impurities due to a channel of elimination not functioning properly. The role of calcium in the body is in neutralization, promotes good growth, and regulation of metabolism.

One of the ways to evaluate if there is a deficiency is by examining fingers and fingernails. If the fingers are not straight, it is often a sign that the person did not have adequate calcium at birth. When the fingernails are mottled with white spots it is an indication that calcium is in short supply.  If you are calcium deficient there may be a history of tooth decay and healing may be slow. One of the jobs of sodium in the body is to keep calcium in balance. It is necessary for calcium to be in a soluble form so that it does not settle in the joints. When calcium salts are lacking in the blood, the nutritional balance of the whole body is upset.

Refined sugar is one of substances that leaches calcium from the body. Eating a diet high in carbohydrates has a harmful impact on the endocrine system, which controls the amount of calcium in solution in the blood.  Cooking breaks down many elements in food, including calcium. Foods high in oxalic acid (spinach, cranberries and rhubarb) increase the body’s excretion of calcium.
